From a Night Market to a Movement

It started at a vintage shop in Bangkok's Train Night Market — informal jams that grew into a community. The name "underground" stuck because bluegrass is virtually unknown in Thailand. That felt right.

From rooftop jams during COVID to the Bluegrass Brewery Project — touring Bangkok's craft breweries — to hosting online jams with musicians worldwide, the community kept growing. Bangkok's position as a global travel hub means world-class players regularly pass through and sit in, alongside a strong core of local musicians who keep the music alive week after week.

In 2024, we hosted the first South Eastern Old Time Gathering — Bangkok's first festival dedicated to bluegrass, old-time, and Irish trad. We organize live sessions, performances, and special events. Whether you play, listen, or just want to experience something new — you're always welcome to join the jam. 🎻🪕🎶
